Join our Musical Theatre Workshop, offering the highest quality of training taught by award winning Broadway and West End actress, Susan Duerden & top Hollywood Vocal Coach Rachel Holbrook.
3-Hour Intensive Training
This will be a fun afternoon plus serious skill-building for young performers who love to sing, dance, and act.
In this dynamic 3-hour workshop, students will train with two seasoned professionals: a Broadway and West End veteran and a top Hollywood vocal coach and musical theatre actress. Together, they bring decades of industry experience to help your child strengthen their technique, build confidence, and take their performance skills to the next level.
Whether your child is preparing for an upcoming school musical, community theatre audition, or simply wants to grow as a performer, we’ll help them become audition-ready—with tools, coaching, and personalized feedback they can carry into any room.
This workshop is ideal for kids and teens who already love performing and want to keep growing. We meet them where they are—and push them forward with practical, inspiring training that’s rarely available outside of professional circles.

Step into the spotlight and shine!
This high-energy musical theatre workshop is perfect for kids who love to sing, dance, act—and perform! Over the course of 2 1/2 exciting hours, young performers will build on their triple-threat skills in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment.
Taught by Broadway and West End actress and YAA Owner/Director, Susan Duerden, and Kai-Lynn Fortner, a fast rising talent and highly sought-after, award winning musical theatre choreographer and dancer, your child will get a taste of what it’s like to train like a pro—whilst still having an absolute blast. We’ll dive into songs, dance, acting, and stage presence, helping each student grow their confidence and performance technique.
Whether your child is already lighting up the stage or just discovering their love of performing, this workshop is designed to boost their skills and bring out their inner star.

SUSAN DUERDEN is an award winning actress, director and choreographer who has worked in the profession for over 25 years in film, TV, stage, voiceover and animation. She has played lead roles on London’s West End and on Broadway, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on tour nationally and internationally. Lead roles in Chicago, Billie Elliot, Noises Off, The Boyfriend, Guys & Dolls, Ben Elton’s Popcorn, Lady Macbeth, The Collector, Pericles and What The Butler Saw. Susan has had the honor of working with Michael Jackson and alongside Kenny Ortega (director, producer and choreographer, High School Musical & The Descendants movie trilogies). She has taught in Los Angeles and London and current and past students have worked on TV shows, feature films and on stage, including Broadway, West End and major touring productions.
RACHEL HOLBROOK hails from the UK, trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and has built a vibrant international career as a performer and vocal coach. She has enjoyed contracts all over the world. She has performed on London’s West End and originated the role of ‘Lily’ in House of Mirrors and Hearts and the role of ‘Waverly’ in the British premiere of Next Thing You Know. Other favorite roles include Maria in The Sound of Music and Rosalie Mullins in The School of Rock. Rachel had the honor of performing alongside Sir Elton John as lead backing singer, founded the 4-piece vocal group ‘Retuned’ which toured the UK with the London Philharmonic, and performed in the BBC Sondheim Proms, singing for Stephen Sondheim himself. Now based in Los Angeles, Rachel is a highly sought after vocal coach, mentoring aspiring performers in vocal technique, confidence-building, and expressive acting through song. She recently vocal directed Encore’s Little Shop of Horrors and is currently preparing to vocal direct the delightfully dark musical Urinetown.
KAI-LYNN FORTNER is an award winning choreographer, dancer, director, and producer, and the founder of Fortner Productions. With a career well beyond her years, she has quickly become an in-demand talent in musical theatre, known for her bold, emotionally driven choreography and dynamic stage presence. Her work spans stage and screen, having produced and directed a range of acclaimed dance films and music videos through Fortner Productions. An award-winning artist, Kai-Lynn also shares her passion with the next generation, teaching dancers of all ages at Elite Dance Studios.
Over the past year YAA students starred in shows on: NETFLIX, HBO, NBC, CBS, FOX, HALLMARK CHANNEL, SYFY CHANNEL, APPLE TV, AMAZON STUDIOS, THE WB, MARVEL STUDIOS, DISNEY CHANNEL, NICKELODEON & DISNEY PLUS and have perfomed on stage LOCALLY, on BROADWAY, LONDON'S WEST END & NATIONAL TOURS.
